No, I'm pretty sure it was the same in British English in my long-ago youth. It's a generational thing.

I see. But I never even heard of this before.

Yeah, you're young.

Confirmed - I'm old and British and was taught two spaces after a full-stop

I see. How many do you use now?

Just one in places like the Internet but I would still use two in an important document.

I see. Thank you.

I can't not use two spaces. Colleagues are always editing stuff I write to remove spaces. :~(

Maybe there would be a weirder convention someday and then stuff written by us (people of this generation) will be edited, too.

@r4356th I need to test the skin. Is it okay if I get it enabled for a short time to test?

Yeah, sure. But please disable it immediately if you find any problem.

Also, you need to request on Miraheze's Phabricator.

Maybe one day we will have to write like this .It looks really weird .I hope this doesn't happen .

I think people from the time when you needed to use two spaces find the convention I am writing in weird, too.

We now have a list of books here, which has one more book than the Materials page on the website! Competition is not what we are aiming so I have sent a PR on GitHub to add the missing one (which is German version of an existing English book). Please add more books to the list if you know about any. That page deserves having a stub template but that is a list so I am not adding it.

Who's Dorling Kindersley? This should say Joachim Wedekind.

Thanks for pointing that out! I copy-pasted wrong name. The actual cause is I started to make that page and left my PC for taking dinner, and you get the idea.

I fixed that.

Could anyone please visit this page and confirm that everything looks alright (like scratchblocks is rendering, links are working etc)?

No. Somebody misimplemented scratchblocks in this page. There are no tags, just block elements.
