On her 3d model, should kyos screen be protruding or indented

So the player is walking through a corridor while they hear scratching and banging I’m not exactly sure how this would work but I want there to be a narrow area too small to fit through that she grabs the players arm through wile screeching
She gives up and eventually jumps up into the vent, then after walking a little forward she jumps out of the vent behind the player and starts a chase sequence
I’m thinking cell shaded graphics with outlines

That sounds awesome.
Kyo would be able to use the vents as well as see the player from behind because of the head arm thing on her back, so her blind spot is her side
She would match the players running speed but her weekness is that her turning radius is bad because her legs don’t have the greatest traction allowing the player to regain stamina
Im thinking the chase could end with you turning a really steep corner, like 120° and her crashing into a wall from slipping. That won’t be in the render and I’ll probably just have her catch you
