I live in Russia. Why i made this discussion?Well because when i started to use snap (Late 2024) the website loaded in 1 second. But now it takes 30 seconds to load.its not the problem of my internet. My internet speed is same as the 2024 internet speed.Snap! team please fix this.
are you talking about the Snap! IDE or about the community site?
Well I don’t see the problem it still loads though?
If it's just the editor, then it might just be loading new javascript files that you don't have cached. This happens to me when I clear my cache or there's a new snap update.
Its the whole website.
When i first launched Snap! it didnt take that long to load.
And also its the whole website.
The problem is that its taking too long to load.
that doesn't help. Can you copy and paste this url into a new browser tab and let me know how it takes to open this, please?
Thanks!
Its takes about 15 seconds to open.
So it is https://snap.berkeley.edu/ and https://forum.snap.berkeley.edu/ and Snap! Build Your Own Blocks that are slow?
okay, that's reasonable for the first time. It takes about 4 seconds on my computer when I load it for the first time with an empty cache. The second time it takes less than a second. How about for you?
Yes it is.
It takes now 2 seconds.
but that's alright, isn't it?
The community site may be slower for various reasons, especially in countries with ... more internet surveillance...
Yes that`s alright
When you say open, do you mean how long it takes to open the editor?
Yes.
The entire editor takes roughly 15 seconds to load and cache with an empty cache for me but when that's done it then takes less than two
