What confuses you?
Other scratchers have made more advanced stuff than griffpatch, for example, giffpatch didn't make gbc.sb2 (gameboy color emulator in scratch), and griffpatch is not making my node editor. There's more, but I don't want to give anymore examples.

it doesn't matter because gbc.sb2 (my first example) was made in 2015. I only knew about it because I saw it in the scratch wiki article about emulation.

I'm making a similar language but for sprites that I am testing in an os-type project I am making.
Actually, I'm not very good at JavaScript (But I am good at Python, and adding help screens to Snap! are easy to do). I consider myself an average coder.
