I did that, I added a wait 1 sec block to prevent pinging the server to many times.

0.5 seconds should be enough, I'll fix that in my version. nvm. but it's released.

Well, you used a character that is on rhe keyboard. If somebody put multiple of -'s, chat would be flooded with nothing.

When I press enter on the latest version why doesn't it ask me what to chat?

well... we can use a bad-word detector or something

that's not going to fix all of the problems.

pre-generated phrases, I've seen that in a bunch of scratch games

that actually might fix the problems. although i'm not sure why you'd want a chat system in a game about competitively clicking fish.

yeah... finally came up with something that beats helicoptur...

for like "teaming up", it's an FFA game, and you don't click the fish, you touch them.

like with a character, or with the mouse-pointer?
also you still need to decide what the main characters are going to be and why they're eating fish, etc.
