i can add it back if i want.
Yeah, I would like that. Maybe a "mode selection" with "v1 movement mode (move and rotate)" and "new movement mode (mouse pointer)"?
the idea isnt supposed to be a game. this is for people to use this engine to make their own projects
Yeah, but some people might want to do one way, whereas others might want to do it another way. Also gtg for now.
ok
I'm in
leave.
Want me to add a safe chat system?
the one thing i asked is for no one to alter the code.
no i dont want people using those servers. there is no way possible to make a safe chat in snap
...Yes there is?
thats allowed by snap!? no
do whatever. just not with the servers im using
you cant just stop people from modifying the code.
if you don't want people using the mqtt broker topics then don't include them in your code.
Oooh, good point.
modifying the code the way he did was against the snap guidelines
I guess there is a block that can handle what things are edited. This means people cannot change how the project works. Like:
The block
variable, when true, blocks the person from using the project unless they don't modify the code. Could be useful to avoid cheating.

Anti-remix and anti-editing maneuvers are so so much in the same spirit as code obfuscation. Making it difficult on purpose for people to experiment and toy with your code is frustrating and just a shitty practice.
See Should Snap! support hackers? for lots and lots of discussion on that, including official stances. See Opuscating code, also.
It's not only against the spirit of Snap! to try and prevent people from editing your project but also super hard to achieve. Someone can just set that variable to false again, can remove the code by editing the XML, or whatever! There's absolutely no security.
yeah
anti editing is just a blocker for people who wanna see how something works
dont click
also, did you just swear
@bh sorry for pinging, but this guy just sweared
proof

shitty

Please no swearing.
