Why does the home page favicon use a different lambda graphic?

Hello, everyone.

About a year ago, I noticed that the home page (and editor) favicon does not use the same lambda image as the Snap! logo, yet the forum favicon does. I did not ask why because I didn't want to seem pedantic, but now my curiosity has gotten the better of me. If this difference was intentional, where does the alternate lambda graphic come from?

I think it's just an old favicon that they haven't updated ever, but the one on the forum is a more updated version.

Because why not? The forum used the same favicon years ago
