We had Alonzo in BYOB 3.0; maybe even a little earlier, in BYOB 2.99, which was sort of a 3.0 beta version. So, 2008. Jens had been using Gobo as the BYOB mascot from his first release, but I wanted a mascot that would emphasize first class functions as the big thing distinguishing us from Scratch, so I modified Jens's mascot into Alonzo.
