It tells you the distance needed to travel before touching a sprite.
so why does it need to travel -1? it just shows me that
It needs to be another sprite
so i did? and it still showed me -1
It needs to point towards the second sprite

-1 is a signal that this sprite is not pointing toward the other sprite.
