Your computer shouldn't crash no matter what's in a web page; the browser should just refuse to display it if necessary. You should report it to Google (with the original version of the page...)

press alt+shift+i (not sure if it's the same on chromebook though) or click on the three dots in the top right of the browser, then go to help, and click "report and issue"
