As for my contribution to the discussion you closed: that was sincere. I do think creative applications need a stable technical (or functional, for that matter) foundation.
I’m not blaming anyone for the state of things. In fact, I’ve grown really fond of Snap! for its uniqueness, and despite its shortcomings - mostly too much change, and user-level documentation not keeping up with that (well, I’m not going to repeat that any more from now). I’m sure this applies for most other forum contributors, too. Thank you, @jens, @bh!
Still, with ever more new features being added, the “technical debt” (for lack of a better expression) keeps increasing. So my suggestion to staff is to tackle those issues. Even without new features being developed for some time, Snap! will still stand out as the one more or less widely used advanced general block programming language.
Snap! may be understaffed, there’s too much weight on your (@jens) shoulders - it’s a Sunday! and you’re still on the job - and you’re a perfectionist, obviously … so I can see how you get irritated quickly.
You might help yourself by refocussing. Redraw from the forum for now, let other staff members do the dirty work. Make yourself a happy 2025!
Edit
For the record: I object to discussions being closed prematurely by staff members.
