Someone is mass flagging me for no reason

This is what I was talking about. I thought this wasn't allowed!

you are not allowed to arrange offsite meetings here. if you know the person already somewhere else, like discord, then it is fine. you just cant post discord server links, websites with chat rooms, etc

:man_facepalming:
I guess I was missing something, but what if you meet someone from Snap! outside of Snap!, but you didn't arrange it, and you didn't know that said person had other accounts?

im afraid i dont understand; could you try rephrasing your question?

What if you meet someone from Snap! outside of Snap!, you didn't arrange any meetings, and you didn't know that said person had other accounts?

then get in contact somewhere else other than here?

:man_facepalming:
No, I mean is it allowed or not?

to arrange it somewhere else? as long as you don't discuss it at all here, at least I think.

:man_facepalming:
Nononono, is

allowed or not?

i mean, yea, you found them and you didn't discuss anything here about meeting them so that would be fine. ive seen some users here on other forums and I talk to them in places other than here.

Good point. Would it count if I made a Snap! project? (Hypothetically, this actually hasn't happened.)

This is very loophole-y, where-are-the-limits-y. Follow the spirit of the rule.

Uh, no it's not. It's a legitimate question.

I agree.

About meeting people: Just do the following thought experiment. Imagine the person you are meeting off-site is a child molester. When you get molested, will your parents construe it as Snap!'s fault? If you arranged the meeting here, yes. If you coincidentally ran into another Snap!per elsewhere, no.

About asking for ideas: Look, if n=2 nobody will care. If n=5, they will. If you start a new thread to bump your old thread, people will get upset right away. Instead of thinking "am I going to get banned?" think "am I being annoying?"

Have you, in fact, ever been banned here? If so, it was under a different username; I don't see that in the admin database.

(By the way, a general point, not addressed to anyone in particular: I view a one-day ban not as a punishment but as a last-resort way to get the attention of someone who isn't responding to hints. Longer bans are more like punishments.)

That I never do.

Yeah, no one I know here would ever do that (the one right after the quoted one, I just didn't want to quote it).

Yeah, true, but shouldn't "n" be "x"?

HERE? No. Elsewhere? Yeah, but they were because of me being a noob for those blocks (TCRF is a whole other can of worms).

No. You get the point. Also, n is used as a common variable name because it is the first letter of number.

By convention, variable names I through N represent integers; in some contexts Q through S represent rationals*; other letters represent real or complex numbers depending on context. (*: In other contexts, P through R represent Booleans.)

I wasn't asking a rhetorical question. That was specifically for @mehone, the OP, who was worrying about being banned.

Oh, yeah. My dad had me learn that when he taught me his favourite programming language, FORTRAN.

I knew it wasn't a rhetorical question, that's why I answered it.

He wasn't asking you.
