I have ideas for the combat system:
You can use normal attacks normally, but then there are "magic attacks" which require mana but do more damage and sometimes have special effects. The attacks would be scripts, and the enemy would be forced to run them when you used it. They would be things like this:
(Skip enemy turn)
Edit: Wait, nvm i have no idea how that could be useful
(Poison or bleed effect)
The scripts wouldn't actually have to be run, but maybe there would just be an a-list with names of attacks and script pics to show when you use them.
There would be items that can increase mana when consumed, but it would also gradually increase as the turns go by.
So like Pokemon or Final fantasy?

But then we need to come up with characters other than Alonzo. Bosses, allies, enemies, bystanders, etc.
How about the scratch cat as an ally,and maybe the twitter bird as a boss,and finally the pixiart heart as an item
what about items? powerups? tools? weapons(fake ones like an air gun or something)?
