You might be able to save some space in your sprite sheet by making a single block and using PAL to change the colour.

good idea. I don't know how I'm going to do graphics but I think i'm gonna leave 3/4ths of the sprite sheet for the user, so they can add their custom graphics.

I managed to get it down to 6 sprites.

it's swapped with a top secret color and it only works in the display palette. (unless there's a workaround i'm unaware of.)
