Set microphone resolution

I need a code that records the microphone for x amount of time. But I don’t want to over complicate the project by people having to manually change their microphone resolution. Is there a better way to record audio for x amount of time or a way to set the resolution within code?

BTW: you know that there is Text To Speach library with voice recognition?

interesting. even with 4 i cant get a clean clear accurate recording.

i need a code that records for 10 seconds of good audio. if its not good it wont work. and the record button is an extra step that i dont want
