Safely try not working for me

I was wanting to use the safely try block with a custom block that uses JavaScript but found it didn't seem to work

So I tried some simple stuff out and that doesn't seem to work either
1st script works

2nd errors (as expected)

But 3rd also errors

Never occurred to me that the then if slot needed filling in

I think that I'll save this version of it in my local useful blocks folder for future use
