Hi, I’m trying to make some custom effect blocks, but I want to know if I can put the change effect (that’s what it’s called right) primitive in my block… I don’t know If it would even work, but that’s the exciting part.
The best way to find out if it works is by trying it
Spoiler alert: it will
sweeett! (I didn’t look at your spoiler but it did work.)
(Putting this here in the thread because idk if it needs its own topic.) How do I make the effect (In this situation its a mirror effect) work in the script? (I probably shouldve asked this later)
what do you want the blocks to do? Then I can help!
you sadly can’t just make your own custom effects just by using the built-in effect primitive, since it won’t know what ‘mirror’ is supposed to be, so you’ll need to program them yourself.
also, a mirror effect can be achieved with something like this:
![]()
Thats an incomplete code I think + yeah I knew that <_<
i know it’s incomplete, it’s just a basic example of how to mirror a sprite’s costume.
oh mb
seems that some1 already made a code like this. so this is pretty useless
please, please stick to 1 reply at a time. you can edit your post.
I noticed this topic’s category is
but i’m not sure what’s advanced about it, so I would reccommend moving to Help with Snap! > Snap! Editor
