well, since the joy cons just connect via Bluetooth, it might be possible to detect all the buttons using the gamepad api. I can't test it, but to test it, just go to https://gamepad-tester.com/

if we could implement the gamepad api into snap, we can use more buttons! There is a section in the link on how to implement it on ego-lay_atman-bay's first post. I think you would be the perfect person to try to implement it.
