Log out bug

So, yesterday I logged into snap and today I have been logged out a lot, like a lot. Each time I close my browser I get logged out of my Snap account, sometimes even just visiting a different page, I have tried turning off cookies deletion or whatever it’s called, but it didn’t help. Why is this issue happening?

Did you make sure to check the “keep me logged in” box?

the same kind of thing happens to me but I just sign back in.

Can you double check you aren’t using private browsing? You shouldn’t be getting logged out though new tabs opening in private browsing mode usually do not keep you logged in.

What browser and OS are you using?

Does this happen anywhere else? If your on a school computer, that might be thje reason (happens all the time for me)

Yes I have, but it didn’t help.

Yes I am sure, I use Google Chrome on Windows 11.

I use a normal mini-pc, and even in a different browser, it still happens.

Is it possible to download Firefox or try in Edge for a bit and see if something is different?

When logged in and checking remember me, you should definitely stay logged in

Okay, I will Edge and see if results are different.

Sorry my auto correct, I meant to say “Okay I will use Edge and see if results are different”

It’s up to your browser to submit the cookie. Sometimes your browser may be instructed to not follow common rules and not send/store proper cookies (“hardening”, privacy mode, plugin, proxy).
You may check the DevTools (F12 or Shift, Ctrl, F1) at https://forum.snap.berkeley.edu/
Application tab>Cookies
There should be something like (do NOT PUBLISH your screen for privacy reason)

and _t cookie with an expiration date.
Next, restart your browser and check again if a cookie is still there.
There is also a browser config to allow cookie chrome://settings/content/siteData

I’m using a localized version, so I don’t know the exact names on your browser.

Thanks, this was the issue, I reinstalled my browser and it works fine now.
