Initializing Sci Snap!

One of my projects uses SciSnap! and the current way I am initializing the library is this:

However, when I use this, it creates a new stage and removes the background that I was displaying. Is there another way to initialize the library without creating a new stage?

Yes

Get the extension src_load(url) block and put it in your code at least I think it might work

I mean if you just get a normal EXTENSION block and select the correct dropdown, it wont do anything.

Or, you can remove the block that sets the stage's costume from the definition of start sciSnap!.
