The profile pictures get cached or something in the quotes. See

I didn’t fill the bug report template as it’s a forum bug and the bug is simple enough When you quote somebody, it shows the username, text and profile picture. If the user you quoted changes their profile picture, the one in the quote stays the same. Example: bh quoting r4356th in this thread.
