How would I get a spectrum of a sound?

You can get the spectrum of your mic, but is there a way to do that with sound?

The tjing is, you'd have to be able to get the spectrum of the sound at a certain time.

I mean, I can get the spectrum of the microphone, but not from a sound...

I don't have the skills to do this, because I do it by setting my microphone to my computer audio, but this isn't what you want. I don't know how to do it, but I do know that you have to specify a time in the sound to get the spectrum.

you can look into the FFT blocks in the SciSnap extension. Note that Eckart Modrow also shares two whole books about how to use it.

How are those blocks supposed to work?

SciSnap has uni.goettingen server access. I've not seen any TOS or fair use clauses. Maybe it should be clearly stated?

well, SciSnap is from Uni Göttingen and we're closely collaborating with them. So, for them to be using their server is okay.
