How do you hide your profile?

I saw a person with a hidden one. How do I do this, if I have access? I would like to sometimes.

I think browsing through Preferences or Settings would get you a toggle for that.

ps forum profiles are inaccessible for anonymous (ie not logged in) users

I have browsed in prefs many times. Never found

You have to go to preferences, and then in interface, there is a checkbox that says "Hide my public profile and presence features".
