Forum not marking posts as read

This was a problem once before, and then it was fixed, but now it's happening again. I read a topic, get all the way to the bottom, click the forum logo, and that topic is still there, with nothing (newly) marked as read. Happening for other people too?

I have had this problem, but only if the last reply is like only a sentence long, and so I read it so fast that the forum thinks I can't have seen it. But then, when I click on the topic again, it brings me to the last reply with the "last read" line just above it. If I go away from that topic a second time, it becomes marked as read.

Never seen this happen to me

That's weird, cause just now there was a topic that was unread for me, and when I quickly scrolled to the bottom, and then clicked the logo (leaving no time to read the last post), it marked the topic as read.

happens to me sometimes, but if I just wait a few minutes after reading the post (even in the home page), it is marked as read.

Is it a browser/OS issue?
I'm using Vivaldi (Chromium based) on Linux (Debian Mint)

Chrome on MacOS.

I'm using Chrome on MacOS Sequoia. But like @ego-lay_atman-bay, whenever I click on a topic, it automatically marks it as read even if I didn't finish reading it. Could it be an issue with your device or Internet connection?

I scrolled to the bottom of this topic, press the back arrow on my browser (Chrome, Windows 10), and this topic was marked as read.

More likely one of the gazillion extensions I'm running, although I don't see how it'd happen.

Cool, I'm not alone in this regard. This has happened on and off for a few months now, but for me it's just one of those minor annoyances that no one bothers to speak out about
