Error trynig to change email in forums

I got a "system" notification that my email might be wrong. And indeed I had typo'd it. When I followed the link in the message to change it and tried to change it I get this error:

I was able to change the email on my main Snap! account? Is the forum linked in some way that will cause that to eventually propagate over?

Certainly when you create the forum account, it gets your email from the Snap! account. I hope the change propagages; the forum software wouldn't let me change it manually.
