Oh, the old Scratch editor looks nice, but I think I like the Scratch 3.0 editor better!

snap started as a scratch 1.4 mod, but then in version 4.0, it moved to javascript and now it currently doesn't share any source code with scratch. They decided to keep the scratch 1.4 look, but you can tell, it looks better than scratch 1.4.

All of that was information I learned from reading the forum a lot. @bh can tell you more.
