Commands or command blocks?

Should block be called a command or a command block? To me, this needs to be settled because the result will be implemented into the wiki. We don’t have categories pertaining to block types in the wiki yet (other than hat). In case we ever change our minds later, scanning every block article to edit the category name would be a burden as the wiki grows with more pages to look for.

I do feel like this could get confused with scripts/procedures/custom blocks.

The type of block is “command”. You can add the word “block” to the end if you want to, it doesn’t change the name of the type.

In terms of adding it to the wiki, the category should be called “command blocks”, same with reporters and predicates. But the infobox for blocks would just have “command”, “reporter”, ot “predicate”.

My choice is that I would go with Category:Commands, as Category:Command Blocks is somewhat bulky to type (you can’t redirect categories to create aliases for them). Moreover, say after consensus we have to change the casing, most likely we have better things to do than this.

Most of the time, the category would be used for a block, which should have Category:Blocks already.

Also, think about:

block is a command in the Other category.

vs.

block is a command block in the Other category
