help I don't want to get banned for potty word
Oh. Okay. Yeah that makes sense.
If you have to ask this, then there's a high chance you aren't allowed to say "potty words" in real life, so allow that rule to apply to Snap!
so can I make my project say bad word and is it aloud?
No, you may not.
And as for the forums, read this.
It's hard to get banned here for one incident. People get banned for repeated offenses, deliberate cruelty to other users, attacking our ability to serve users, or fraud. If we find a project of yours offensive, we may unpublish it.
i actually thought of a way to censor mqtt. the problem is people would be able to remove the block
when it comes to mqtt chatrooms, i don't think swears and slurs are the main problem, I think its more that they don't want offsite meetings or arranging real-life meetups
all this can be moderated
But how is the snap team going to know that 200 different chat projects are all being moderated? If they allow one chat project, then other people will think it's ok, then they won't moderate it, and then it's a huge issue with the snap team. It's best to just not allow any chat projects because then there's no special cases.
im saying something else. i think all mqtt projects need to have a part that cant be removed that uses ai to moderate the information being passed. or maybe edit the say blocks and variable blocks (or everything that can contain text) to not allow curse words, inappropriate text, and whatever other moderation they want. so that this ouldnt be an issue
I still think that violates
not specific for chat purposes. just to prevent anything bad from being done with mqtt
You cant have chats with mqtt. Period. Stop trying.
did u listen. it had nothing to do with chats
The Snap! team cannot moderate ANY mqtt messages.
If you want to put effort into the likes of your mqtt snap collab project to filter certain phrases out, then feel free to do. The snap team are not bothered one way or another
If the snap team find out that your project is being used for chatting in any form whatsoever then I'd expect the project to be taken down and people being banned.
Stop pushing against the boundary of Snap! rules
