I came up with a new well-lit idea for a new game: a game to inspire players to focus on nutrition and wellbeing in food.
What the game might look like is that during the game, players have to select one of the three available foods. Each food has different nutrition stats, "appeal" stat where the more the player chooses the lower it becomes, a beautiful pixel sprite, and appears at different occassions. So, to summarize, the player is choosing what they would eat (if they were integrated in that hypothetical world) for breakfast, for afternoon snack, for lunch, for dinner, and rarely, the player might "wake up hungry and with insomnia at midnight" and have to choose what they want for midnight snack.
If the nutrition stats they receive from the food is too imbalanced, or one is at an extreme, too bad! Game over and the player has to start over, their previous game if their score exceeds their previous high score they will set a new high score.
Eh. Sounds little silly, right? The reason I'm posting this into the forums instead of locking in the idea is that I need some people to give me twists to eliminate boredom. I also need someone enduring to continually update the game to paint the pixel art. Meh, whatever, I can't stop asking for collabs...
I also haven't worked on it yet, this will be a potential future game I am developing. I just did some other leisure things on my computer (not bothering to tell, it's a secret) unfortunately I haven't left time to allocate to work on the game and my computer ran out of battery.
Process of the game
- Title
- User presses play
** Day 0
** Pick breakfast
** Lose check (imbalanced nutrition? illness?)
** Optional branch (sometimes occurs sometimes don't)
*** Pick snack
*** Lose check
** Pick lunch
** Lose check
** Optional branch
*** Pick snack
*** Lose check
** Another optional branch, but rarer, not as rare as waking up midnight though. Accept invitation to a party
*** Pick party food (has noticeably unhealthier food than others)
*** Lose check
** Pick dinner
** Lose check
** Now this is an extreme edge case where the player wakes up midnight.
*** Midnight snack
*** Lose check
** Day 1
** Repeat above until lose...
