It's supposed to ringify the result of the input.

But why? The whole point of ringifying something is to prevent (or at least defer) its evaluation. It's the expression that the user wants to preserve.

Yes, but I just wanted to be able to ringify the result of something. I think it was so I could ringify a comment, but I can't seem to:
