Did you try programming before? With Scratch, perhaps?
At the bottom of the Snap! main page there’s a link to a beginner programming course using (and explaining) Snap!, it’s called The Beauty and Joy of Computing. Select “BJC curriculum” and start with Unit 1. Have fun!
...or try reading the Snap! Reference Manual. If they're boring, skip to pages you are interested in through the Table of Contents.
I’d still opt for the BJC course, being step-by-step. A Reference Manual is primarily for reference, not for learning from scratch.
