Art & Music - Module 5: Combining Art with Music (Spring 2025)

I tried to make a few different songs and I could never get it to sound right. The one I ended with was Dandelions by Ruth B, and I have it done two different ways in my code but I don't think either sound right. Let me know if you see something that seems off or have any tips. Thanks!

I ended up making a new project for week 5:

I'm not sure how to get the music synced up (as well as the first chord/melody block occasionally having issues where it glitches and all plays at once), and I was having some trouble with the line, but I like how the background turned out!

this is so cute! I love the little animation of the cat. For the music, have you looked up sheet music for the melody? That might help you make the timing sound better, since it will tell you the right amount of time to play each note for (eighth note, quarter note, half note, etc)

I love the animations on this! As for the music, I don't know if this was intentional, but it sounded like someone learning how to play the piano. When you are first struggling to move from one cord to the next and have that little blank space in between. I think there is probably a way to put most of your code together and have it repeat to make it a little smaller.

yeah.

I really like all the animations you added it makes for a really dynamic project! I also think the music you added fits the scene well it's very relaxing.

This is a really cool project! I like how the sprite moves in such a sporadic way which imitates how a Pokemon might actually move. The music is also very well composed and matches the vibe of the Pikachu perfectly. The only suggestion I have would be to implement a bounding box, or perhaps stop the music and finish the animation when the Pikachu goes off-screen.

This is really cool! I really like how the lights in the background matched the beat. It would be even better if the disco ball changed sizes based on the beat too.

I really like the cat animation walking! And that the note drops when the cat drops too, which is really satisfying. This is such a cute project!

Wow, your project is really great! The star trails are all different sizes and speeds, which is really nice dreamy, and whimsical. The glitter drawn with a pen and the pastel tones give it a retro feel.

This is my week 5 project. I did a Mary had a Little Lamb cover, but I used random sprites because I couldn't find sheep sprites that looked good.

I love how it ended up looking! Definitely got that DS vibe haha
The only suggestions I have would be to prevent your Pikachu sprite from going on the Pokemon Center desk + simplify your blocks so that they're shown as only a few rather than all the steps being taken if that makes sense.

I hid the sprite on my end, and you're right! It looks much much better, Thank you!!
