Art & Music - Module 11: Designing Games (Fall 2024)

I really like the game so far. I think the concept is very cool and will be very fun to play. I also really like how the background is moving as the game goes on, I think it adds a lot to the gameplay.

I have the set up how I want it, and now I need to work on fixing some bugs especially when the game over occurs. I also am trying to get the game to be able to repeat, but I am having a lot of trouble with doing so.

Hi! Your project idea sounds really fun and creative! The concept of stacking ice cream scoops while avoiding obstacles like tomatoes and onions adds an exciting challenge. U think adding fun sound effects when scoops land on the cone or when a tomato causes a game over could really enhance the experience.

This is my first draft of my maze game. I plan to make the blocks thinner so it's easier to get through the maze. I'm also going to add a point system so the sprite can collect points in the future: maze game by desireeho | Snap! Build Your Own Blocks

I like this game idea and it'll be cool to see a moving background that matches with the music!

This is my first attempt to implement my whack a mole game. I just added simple dots for now but I'm planning on changing them to actual images of the hole, mole, and fake mole. I added a comment on things I want to further improve and implement.

My final game is to just collect as many scoops without touching the tomatoes in a certain time frame. I will use the next weeks to iterate on this as I had trouble stacking the scoops and adding different features.

I updated my game to fix the size of the bars, ensure my sprite is upright all the time, and add objects where the sprite can collect. My only issue is the scoring system since the score will still go up after the item disappears.

I updated my game to include actual sprites and also added some more buttons and graphics to make it feel more like a real game. I included a new highest score variable that keeps track of a player's highest score if they play multiple times.

Here is the link to my updated game: Game. I fixed the restart so it works every time and you can restart as much as you want. I also made the timing of the clones better. The only problem I came across was getting the scoring to appear. I have a score variable which adjusts correctly, but it won't appear when I want it to.

Here is a link to my updated game: Game Design - Spencer Lewis. I changed the way the costumes and phases change, which all together makes the game run smoother. There are still some issues with the 3rd phase.

Here's a more updated version:
