Why do you guys think the primitive block is faster than custom blocks? If you time it, it is only a couple milliseconds faster, which in this case, is not needed. Plus, you can turn on turbo mode and / or warp the script to make it run faster.

I guess you’re right - apparently I mis-timed , which is inside . I thought it took about 8 milliseconds (when superfluous), but turns out to be much less than 1 ms, which is too little to be noticed unless tens of notes (from different tracks / instruments) need to be synchronized.
