We don’t even know what problem @avi_shor would like to solve. Perhaps speed isn’t that important. Perhaps both lists may be assumed pre-sorted. Or both lists are of the same length … Depending on the problem characteristics some approach might yield optimum results. But for now, let’s keep iit simple.
You're right that it depends what problem we're solving. I'm imagining a huge list, so that efficiency matters. But nobody has to take my suggestions...
