Help with Tamagotchi

i can try to do it thx!

Okay, I will now explain how the original Tamagotchi works in its entirety.

Starting:
When you start, you see an egg. The egg will hatch in five minutes.

How to care:
After it hatches, you see the baby, and he is completely hungry and unhappy. To make him full, you must feed him. All you have to do is select the option to give him a meal. If he is unhappy, you can either give him a snack, or play a game with him. Giving the Tamagotchi food will cause him to gain a pound, no matter if it is a meal or a snack. Playing a game with Tamagotchi will make him lose a pound. He will only get happy after the game if you win. To check if the Tamagotchi is hungry or unhappy, you can check his meters. Here you can see his stats, like his age, weught, discipline level (I'll explain in a sec), and hungry and happy meters. His hungry and happy meters are shown as 4 hearts. For every empty heart you see, you must feed him/play with him once. If all of the hungry or happy hearts are empty, the Tamagotchi will beep at you, letting you know to take care of him. Sometimes he will beep at you for no reason. If this happens, you must discipline him. His discipline meter will also go up. Every so often, he will poop. If he does, you must clean it. Sometimes the Tamagotchi will also get sick for no reason, or if you leave the poop there for too long. If that happens, you must cure him. When it reaches a certain time, the Tamagotchi will go to bed. He will beep, letting you know to shut off the lights for him. When he wakes up again, he will turn the lights back on automatically.

Growing up:
When he hatches, the baby will need constant attention (like all babies do). After about one hour, the Tamagotchi baby will grow up into the child. He will need less attention, but you must still taake good care of him. Depending how well you take care of him, he will grow up into one of the two teenagers. They will then grow up into one of the six adults. Who they grow up into all depends on how good you take care of them, and also their weight. It also determines how long they will live. One adult can grow up into a mystery character, but only if you take perfect care of them.

All of the functions have literally no work to them. To feed them, you simply select the option. You don't need to buy food or cook it; you get an unlimited supply. Cleaning basically flushes the Tamagotchi along with the poop, leaving only the Tamagotchi. Giving it medicine only requires pressing a button. So does disciplining it. The only functions that requires the slightest bit of effort is checking the meters and playing the game.

There are two types of idle animations for Tamagotchis, one where they move, and another where they just stay in one spot.

Please refer to this post for info about the Tamagotchi.

UM did you type that all out? And you have to discipline them WHAT?

To all, if you are replying to a post, if you have to scroll up a good deal, then please quote what you are replying to.

Yes

Edit: Oh goodness, I just realized how long my post was.

Of course not! Disciplining is like scolding them!

ok so what will happed if the user leave the game will the tamagotchi die?

oh sorry.

I am thinking about making a save code system that records the time. Once you enter the save code again, the game will calculate how much time has passed, and update the happy and hungry meters. The Tamagotchi will never be able to die while you are away (if it has to die, it will die as soon as you enter the save code).

so if you look at the code it will die? im confused...

The save code.

Let's say you get the save code, but forget about the Tamagotchi for 1 week. You remember and enter the save code you have. It won't be dead, but you will see it die.

ohh okay i get it. ill start making the egg animations and coding it in the game. and im confused on how to pixel the art like to i draw a non pixelated art and use the pixlate block to pixel it or use a different website?

You can use this link. I already implemented one of the egg costumes.

thanks

If you don't understand how to use the system, I can explain to you how to use it

yes please can you please expain

To better understand, run the "random screen setup", then run "draw screen with 'Screen Display'".

So basically, to implements some pixel art into the system, it has to fit within the 32 x 16 pixel limits, and also can only be black and white. You have to set a variable to a list of lists which true and false. For a light square, use false. For a dark square, use true.

Sorry I can't explain more I did this in a rush. I explain more in a bit

The first list in "Screen Display" will tell the sprite named "Screen Drawer" to draw the first row, the second lists for the second row, etc. Each item in each sub-list tells the sprite whether to draw the pixel or not. They go from left to right. To draw a pixel, use true. If you want to leave a square blank, use false

If it is too complicated for you I can do it!

New link:
Snap! Tamagotchi

Please use my link so then we can give the Tamagotchi the classic feel.

If using my screen drawing system is too complicated for you guys, you can just work on character design, and I can implement it into the system.

I don't know I like how my Tamagotchi is turning out.
