I just see their reply as "I don't feel like doing that", which is actually kind of valid. Yeah, it's super easy, but I can understand why someone would be lazy and not do a simple thing (I'm like that sometimes).
As for the "complex" part, it's clearly just they don't understand exactly what bh said, which is fine, especially for new users.

none of them have help menus, but for equal chance of [] @delInput@addInput <t>::operators reporter the <t>::operators boolean just means whether to flatten the input, so putting lists in the inputs will flatten into individual inputs, if it's false it'll treat the lists as separate inputs
