That's partially true. You'll still get the html and the javascript (or script elements with paths to javascript files) as well as (usually) a basic layout for the page. Many websites will work without javascript because they don't want people who don't use js to leave their site.
No. But it successfully parsed and scraped Google search. It doesn't seem to work anymore because the scraper heavily relied on Google's UI to not change (and it has since then) but you can see proof of concept in the replies
