Just curious, but is there a reason that what I would think of as the first slot in the sprite corral is always empty?
So it seems like if I add scenes then each scene is a row with the stage for that scene in the leftmost column. But why when there’s only one scene is the stage down on a different row and a space is left in the first row?
Scratch does the same thing too, except the stage is located to the right instead of left.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
snap! can be weird like that sometimes
This was present before Snap had scenes, so I am not entirely sure why they added that gap.
For the stage, the stage takes up that left space. However Im not sure why they didnt just always make it display at the start of the list.
No, the stage did not take up that space, even before scenes were implemented.
There’s a blank spot. On the left. Where the stage icon is.
That’s the same thing. The stage has its own column, the space is just the area above the stage.
To be honest I feel like @owlsss and @codingisfun2831t are arguing the same point without realizing it.
Yes it is clearly not taking up the space directly left of the sprites
I don’t know. I said even prior to the addition of scenes, the stage icon did not take up that space, only to be told that it did, using evidence to support that it didn’t.
The stage icon takes the whole left column. It might not take of the top, but that blank space is becuase that column is reserved for the stage.
You are arguing semantics, which is literally not what the post was asking about, dude
Semantics are important to understand why this is the case
OK SO @codingisfun2831t was saying “the stage icon is inside the left part of the sprite corral, meaning it takes up that location” and @owlsss read that as “the stage takes up the space in that part of the sprite corral all the way up at the top left” so they posted a different png than the one @codingisfun2831t posted so i took @owlsss 's png and edited it because i thought they were saying the opposite of what @codingisfun2831t was actually trying to say even though they were unwittingly in agreement
that is what just happened here.
techincially this wouldnt have happened if the stage part had more of a distinction to the sprites part
