I'm migrating here from another website for a bit lol. Anyone else? This website seems to have an explore page without bad stuff showing up as much, so that's good. Eh, whatever, back to my game. I think it might be pretty hard for some of my bigger games, any tips? Will the files transfer?
I know this is similar to other coding websites, so I think the files will transfer.
Hi, welcome to Snap!. At the bottom of our home page you'll find, in the "Tools" section, Snapinator, which converts Scratch projects, although it doesn't work in every case, because there are a few incompatibilities.
Thank you for your help!
As long as it's compatible with Scratch 3.0, it shouldn't really matter what version Snap! is on, right?
It's probably inconsistent because Snap! does a lot of things differently from Scratch, especially involving custom blocks.
There's actually some things in scratch 3 (excluding the extensions) that were not present in snap when snapinator was last updated, so some things will come out as undefined blocks.
However the biggest difference is actually due to how differently snap runs. A decent sized scratch project will likely run poorly in snap, because many techniques scratchers use are not as optimized in snap, but snap would most likely have more performant alternatives, but it would take a bit of work.
i'd say this could be good
what would be good?
Oh, okay.
The idea of being able to transfer projects
but this is a help with snap topic, not feature requests.
Why are you telling me this?
