Here’s the waveform design proposal. you can make it better though like making the waveform color customiable. the playback line moves when the sound is played
I wouldn’t count on credit, just like how you can make a feature request for Snap and, even if it gets implemented, not get credited. It is up to @d016 of course, but there have been plenty of feature requests thus far that haven’t been credited.

There’s no playback line as you can’t edit sounds and the waveform isn’t connected to the play/stop buttons.
What??? Square Strings is an option, based on the “square block inputs” addon in Scratch Addons! If you don’t like that, then disable it!

I’m assuming though that the Sound object has a reference to a cached Audio object? you could just check if it’s null (and then do 0) or else get a current playmarker.

This is really Cool! (It’s just nice to see a Snap! mod that actually gets made)
The extension block is kind of misleading as it could symbolize that pressing it makes a block.
Yeah, you just need the github link. Other posts are mostly just ideas and feature requests for Split!
I’m not sure, as the dropdown does make it clearer what the extension block does. Plus, I don’t want to rename snap blocks, I’ve only renamed blocks that already exist in scratch, as snap uses slightly different wording than Scratch.
That’s true, I suppose its just unfamiliar so someone who’s never done scratch though.
