Speak block broken since v8?

I've not used that library but when I tested it in V7 - it gives the same accent also

pretty sure the tts used in that library is just using the native tts javascript api, which, I think, uses the tts on the device.

Hell, it could be worse! The speak block for tts could be broken completely that it doesn't make any sound!

If you download a local copy of 8.0.0 - what happens with that?

It seems to be a problem with firefox (works with chrome...)

I was using Vivaldi which doesn't work but I then tried Chrome

and that gives the accents

So looks like its a browser issue
