Snaply (please contribute) - work in progress Snap! mod with server support

i was gonnahost this on codeberg.org (a much better host than github IMO) but:

  • repo size is >1 gb, surprisingly twice as large as Scratch 3.0 and larger than the AmpMod monorepo
  • few snap users use codeberg, if any other than me

so i decided to put it on github instead GitHub - ampelectrecuted/Snaply: a visual programming language inspired by Scratch

sooo i might import AMP’s Block Collection into this

Umm… what does it do? I don’t see what’s different from Snap!.

that’s why “WIP” is in the title

maybe i should clarify

server support is mostly an idea right now and might not be implementable yet due to the tight integration between the interface and runtime

as a library?

yes

what does “server support” mean

can i help you make this mod

i didnt mean to make this

i can make blocks for you as long as you tell me what to make wink wink

Remember, you can edit it out :)

huh?

They’re probably using the new “rich text editor” and thus aren’t able to edit it out.

@skardhi, switch to the Markdown editor by toggling the button in the top left corner of the edit window or using the keyboard shortcut CTRL+M. Then delete everything between and including [details] and [/details].

you will be able to run snaply on the server and make simple websites kinda like https://librekitten.org

A headless Snap! for servers? Interesting concept
