I've got to ask-what are the real world issues that this would/will cause.?
Maybe someone exploits a github vulnerability, uploads malware, and when someone downloads the repo with git clone
they may accidentally execute that file ...?
Maybe (and I don't know how github file permissions work so this may not be possible) clone the repo, create a new branch (always better to create a new branch for bug-fixes), fix the permissions on the file re-upload to github and then do a pull request?
No.There is a chance fof it to look like a command.
