I feel infuriated that the built-in sounds (and costumes) that Snap! has is never updated. There are literally only twelve built-in sounds. TWELVE.

There are so little sounds here, I can resize the window to show all of them, and it’s honestly kinda funny :slight_smile:
All i’m saying is, add more built in costumes and sounds, because I don’t think they’ve been updated in a while.

Why? You can add them your self in your projects.

Correction: Mildly infuriated
I can have trouble finding good sound effects online, and i dont really want to use complicated sfx makers like jsfx.
I would like more built-in sounds to use in my projects, so i dont get reminded of how scratch has 353 sounds while Snap! has 12.

Scratch’s 353 sounds are Creative Commons licensed. Feel free to export one you like and import it into your Snap! project.

All Scratch 1.4/2.0 sounds are actually still in the files. They just aren’t defined in the SOUNDS.json master file:

Not all the Scratch costumes are included here either.

The problem (a longstanding wish list item) is that our costume/sound browser code is very slow. As it is, when you click on “costumes” it takes forever for the browser to start up, and if we included the complete Scratch collection it’d be much worse.

There are more costumes than sounds because of a long-ago decision on my part that, under the circumstances, a wide range of costumes is more important than a wide range of sounds. YMMV.

We know how to fix the problem, and will get :tuit: eventually.
