Nexus! Snap mod concept

I’m currently making a Snap mod and have improved my Snap modding skills a bit. :+1:

(What’s your opinion on the logo?)

Why not do it in Snap!?

You mean better localization, right? That’s actually pretty cool. Why not PR it to vanilla Snap!?

Just host them on an image software, for people to download.

Easy! Just make a project for the library!

I’m still going to give you feedback on the logo, so here goes:
I think the serif text is uninviting, the blocks are quite nice IMO but could have more going to them.

That’s not how you make libraries in a Snap mod. To create a library, follow these steps:

  1. Create blocks for it
  2. Click on the file icon and click the “Export blocks” option
  3. Save the blocks as xml and give it a name
  4. Modify the LIBRARIES.json

I know how to do it, I’m just saying, you don’t need to make a mod with libraries. Just import the blocks into an empty vanilla Snap! project.

Oh okay

Well it’s not my project so I don’t really have strong feelings about it, but for what it’s worth, my feeling is exactly the opposite; I find serif text inviting and sans serif uninviting. (Actually until this moment I didn’t think anyone disagreed with me about that; the sans serif fans of the world argue in terms of legibility, although I think they’re wrong about that also.)

P.S. I also vote for itallicizing the exclamation point.

Interesting.

Take a giant step back from your screen and sans serif is just a bunch of (mostly) vertical and (a few) horizontal lines. Serif looks like someone took some care with the letters.

I used https://editor.method.ac/. When I selected a serif font in the text, it did nothing

I finally fixed the logo

(I used PenguinMod)

I replaced the SymbolMorph with SoundIconMorph in line 2882 in blocks.js

Javascript code:

morphToShow = new SoundIconMorph(value);

Thanks for @theaysnap for helping me with this.

can you post the link to the mod you’re making?

That’s exactly what I was going to ask :sob:

I might do It soon… or now!

Everyone! It’s out:

@theaysnap suggested me to publish this

NOTICE:
I’m currently importing things from the Nexus! folder to the github repo since I didn’t fork the original snap, I downloaded the source code instead.
