Hi!
I've used the (my [neighbors V] block many times before for all sorts of stuff, but out of curiosity, how does it actually work? I've never really noticed any consistency, other than if the sprite is touching another sprite, it appears in the list. How does it pick what is determined to be a "neighbor"?
What do you mean?
nevermind.
Read chapter VII section G of the Snap! manual
Neighbors are all other sprites whose bounding boxes intersect the doubled dimensions of the requesting sprite's bounds.
Thanks! It's odd that it's the doubled bounding box of the original sprite. I wonder why.
Do you think of only the people in the house right next to yours as your neighbors? It's just a semi-arbitrary sense of "near me." If you need something more precise, you can roll your own.
I suppose that makes sense.
