i opened the block editor for an mqtt block and noticed, for the first time, a “sanitise” block in the definition that doesn’t appear in the block palette
the specific block

is there a reason why this block doesn’t appear in the palette?

The reason is likely because the block is only meant to be used internally and not by the user.
couldn’t that be the case for any library’s blocks? this is the first one i’ve noticed that’s hidden from that palette
not that it’s impossible, i’m just confused
Most of our libraries predate the feature of hiding blocks in the palette. The MQTT one is very recent.
is there a specific known reason why the block’s hidden or is it just like that?
As Brian said, the ability to hide helper blocks like this is a recent feature and I just used it to save cluttering up the palette
oh okay thanks
