Indeed, that looks wrong. It's a little scary that the manual seems to have gotten smaller rather than bigger! I wonder how that happened. The version of the manual sitting on my desktop is correctly indexed. :~(

it should just be automated from whatever they're using to create the manual (sections and their locations should be put in the text itself)
taking the time to change all the numbers manually every time there's an edit would waste hours no matter how it's done
