I'm one of the few people in the world who prefers light theme to dark theme. The Snap! editor has a light theme option (Flat design), but that makes the blocks look flat and turns the buttons into rectangles, which I really hate. I suggest that the flat design option be split into two options, flat design and light theme.
I feel your pain, but this is so not a priority... You may have to make your own fork and DIY.
